IT firms 'turning to business management software' to reach clients

Organisations of all sizes are turning to the internet to provide added benefits, including cost-effective methods for attracting new customers, according to a new blog by a leading news agency.

Steve Wagner, a technology expert from Fair Web Solutions writing for Reuters, noted that the distribution of products to new customers who would otherwise engage with others due to location barriers is resulting in many firms streamlining internet abilities to boost communication with this new demographic.

He noted that the development of such things as business management software has benefited from a surge in innovation as many companies look for efficiency benefits from administration tools, enhanced customer relationship management and mobile systems.

Mr Wagner added: "Given that it is widely accepted that it is much more cost-effective to retain an existing customer than attract a new one, companies are utilising software enhancements to maximise customer retention and develop more targeted online and offline marketing strategies."

It follows a poll from Datamation and THINKstrategies with the Huffington Post that found nearly 99 per cent of respondents had adopted, or were in the process of getting, business management software.
