Entrepreneurship 'can help prop up the economy'

There is a growing need for companies to acknowledge the role of entrepreneurship and help keep the economy afloat, an expert has said.

Michael Baxter, editor of Investment and Business News, revealed that other countries tend to have different cultural attitudes towards the role of entrepreneurs in the economy.

"If you can do something to encourage entrepreneurs then that will go a long way to start changing that; I think that's what the UK needs," he highlighted.

Mr Baxter stressed that more money should be provided for projects that are likely to boost the economy and move the UK forward.

By carrying out project scheduling and improving innovation, the country can start to enter into growth once again, he added.

The British Chambers of Commerce recently found that nearly half of UK businesses are concerned about the prospect of Capital Gains Tax rising in the Budget.
