Will flexible working interest boost timesheet software uptake?
Online timesheet software could become even more important to companies as employees continue to embrace the emerging flexible working culture.
Nearly half of the UK workforce (48 per cent) wants to spend more time working from home, according to new research by Reed.
The recruitment company's survey also revealed that four in ten would happily scrap the traditional nine to five working day and replace it with a more personal work-life balance to better suit their own needs.
Commenting on the findings, Reed Specialist group managing director Tom Lovell explained that technological advances continue to pioneer significant changes in working practices.
He added: "The key is that today's workforce wants the flexibility to choose the working environment that best suits their lifestyle and aspirations.
"Employers also really need to understand applicants' motivations so that they can achieve cultural as well as skills fit when recruiting the best people."
Earlier this week, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development indicated that there is set to be an increase in the number of older workers choosing to stay in employment for longer, which could also herald a shift towards more flexible working among this demographic.
